Ernest Cole’s Apartheid

Ernest Cole is one of the more famous photographers to have attended NYIP.    His work is a stark, haunting look at life in South Africa during Apartheid.   It is an understatement to say his images changed the lives of people, both white and black.  Photography has an amazing power to wake the mind and touch the soul and it is through this power the seed of change can sprout and past ways, views, and opinions of right and wrong can be questioned in the ugly face of fact.
